This new build was designed from the blueprint stages. Our client lived a farmhouse life on acreage in the middle of the city. Their style was minimalistic and low-maintenance, due in part to their small children and bulldogs. Our challenge was to push them outside their comfort zone to make something that would be more than durable, but distinctive and truly representative of their lifestyle. We went with a bold color palette of black and white and rift white oak and applied it throughout the home. We opted for a daring all-black focal point in the kitchen, featuring a custom black stone hood, black backsplash, black hardware, and black range. The natural lighting complemented it beautifully. For the foyer, we created a custom light installation that connected the indoors to the outdoors with three chandeliers in a layered and cohesive sightline.
