Sunset Trail

Our client’s kitchen was dark, dated, and less than functional. They wanted a usable space with practical materials that would serve their active country-living lifestyle. We extended one wall to allow for more cabinet space, including a pantry and larger-scale refrigerator. We took the cabinets up to the ceiling and added banks of drawers to increase storage exponentially. We squared off the island to add more seating and provide a space for our client’s twins to help with the cooking. We kept the materials rustic – reclaimed hardwood floors, handmade terra cotta tiles glazed in aquamarine, and natural stone countertops for durability and as a reflection of their no-frills values.
