Our client had an affinity for rustic desert living and eclectic bohemian touches. From a functional standpoint, the space needed to be comfortable for extended family dining with easy-to-maintain materials for wine spills and young children. The room felt big and empty, so we added warmth with wallcoverings to the ceiling and a complementary statement wall to offer a focal point. We kept the color palette monochromatic but added interest with prints, patterns, and textures. We sourced a custom console of reclaimed wood beams to fit perfectly into the niche and add functionality for serving.
